Ari is the solo project of Ariana Mamnoon, singer and bassist of the band untitled (halo). Born and raised in California, with an upbringing consisting of singing Linkin Park in her living room, and her brothers showing her bands such as Blink 182 and Death Cab for Cutie. Her first release in her solo project was the joint single “Larsen” made in collaboration with Spain based artist Forma Norte. The pair went on to create the 2025 EP A composed of melodic ambient emo vocals and lush guitar, featuring cello by Ari’s friend Omeed Almassi. Ari has performed this EP in settings such as Public Records New York, opening for Quiet Light, in a backyard house show setting opening for Chanel Beads, and acoustically at wine cafes. Her other solo music features work made with artists such as Current Joys and Deer Park. The project is light – independently released, an avenue for Ari to release a variety of sounds. Ari is also the host of NTS Radio Show “Temporal Cove with smilegoth,” where she creates radio mixes and interviews/highlights her favorite bands such as The Radio Dept, Interpol, Slowdive, and Slint to name a few. She does radio, her band untitled (halo), and makes zines, films and other interdisciplinary work in her time.
