Swirlies
Formed from the shell of a Go-Go’s cover band named Raspberry Bang, SWIRLIES began their life in Boston/Cambridge, Massachusetts in the summer of 1990. The original band featured Damon Tutunjian (guitar/vocals), Seana Carmody (guitar/vocals), Andy Bernick (bass), and Ben Drucker (drums). SWIRLIES played live for the very first time on 25 January 1991 at The Alcove in Allston, MA.
In these early years, SWIRLIES wandered the Northeastern Megalopolis with other like-minded people, releasing 7″ records through the kindness of Slumberland, Pop Narcotic, Cinderblock, and other labels. Billy Ruane was often there. In June 1992, SWIRLIES signed to then-Boston-based Taang! Records. The first two Taang! releases, the ’What to Do About Them’ EP (a collection of previous 7″s and new tracks) and ‘Blondertongue Audiobaton’ LP, were created and recorded by the original members plus other mysterious entities. Our dependence on sacred symbols (embodied by The Ostrich, The Number 11, The One Who Speaks Abstractly On Recordings, and others) began at approximately this time. Sadly, none of these symbols protected us from The Curse.
Schwefelgelb
Schwefelgelb, an electrifying presence in the electronic music landscape, has been entrancing audiences with their groundbreaking approach since their seminal 2017 release, "Dahinter Das Gesicht". This album marked a crucial turning point, not only introducing numerous listeners to the world of techno, but also cementing Schwefelgelb's influential role within the genre. Their core philosophy is based on a relentless inner drive to create, treating each musical composition as a personal odyssey.
Marie Davidson
The most personal is often the most universal. This probably explains why Marie Davidson’s work resonates with so many. Born in Montreal, Canada, Marie is an electronic music performer, DJ, singer and songwriter. Active for more than a decade, Davidson’s work is characterized by her idiosyncratic vocal delivery, and an ever expansive palette of sound. Renowned for her generous performances mixing hard-hitting percussions, sharp synth melodies and catchy punchlines. She has also been acclaimed for her broad catalog of recorded music, under her own name and as Essaie pas on international labels such as Deewee, Ninja Tune, Cititrax (Minimal Wave), DFA Records & more. She has recently released Y.A.A.M. (Your Asses Are Mine), the first single of her upcoming album to come out on DEEWEE, legendary Belgian producers Soulwax’s imprint, who have produced the Grammy nominated cult remix of Marie’s Work It.
Lovesliescrushing
Formed in 1991 by Scott Cortez and Melissa Arpin-Duimstra, Lovesliescrushing is an ambient shoegaze duo known for their innovative use of sound layering and ethereal compositions. With a career spanning over three decades, they have released numerous critically acclaimed albums and have influenced a generation of musicians with their unique approach to music creation.
Lovesliescrushing, have been at the forefront of the ambient and shoegaze genres since their formation in 1991. With a discography that includes critically acclaimed albums like "Bloweyelashwish" and "Xuvetyn," the duo has consistently pushed the boundaries of sound, creating immersive audio experiences that transcend traditional music structures.
Since their inception, Lovesliescrushing has been celebrated for their ability to innovate and redefine genres. Their early work, characterized by dense layers of sound and abstract vocalizations, set the stage for the shoegaze and ambient movements that followed. Albums like "Bloweyelashwish" (1993) and "Xuvetyn" (1996) have become seminal works, influencing countless artists in the years since their release. Their pioneering use of tape loops, reverb, and unconventional recording techniques has earned them a dedicated following among audiophiles and music enthusiasts. The band’s ability to evolve while maintaining their core aesthetic has kept their music relevant and compelling over the decades.
In their 30 plus years, performances have been rare, but in 2024 Arpin-Duimstra and Cortez have resumed playing out live.
Croatian Amor
Croatian Amor is the solo alias of Loke Rahbek. Croatian Amor realises a distinct and brilliant intimacy about the bracing pace and chronicles of the contemporary world. Hailing from Copenhagen, Rahbek operates the label Posh Isolation, a place of incubation for many artists from across Scandinavian experimental music, including many of his own collaborators. As Croatian Amor, Rahbek's most crucial and imaginative account is laid bare.
Croatian Amor composes with pop artefacts of the circuits that interlace our lives. Sometimes speaking in loneliness, though often telling of trysts, Croatian Amor presents a longing for in determinate sensation. Employing a medley of diffuse electronic music traditions, fantastical synthetic worlds are evoked to make this world just a little more habitable. His most recent works include the solo albums “Remember Rainbow Bridge” from 2022 and “A Part of You in Everything” from 2023 and a continuous flow of releases with longtime collaborators Scandinavian Star & Frederik Valentin. Croatian Amor has performed at festivals, venues and clubs such as, Berlin Atonal, Rewire, Mutek Mexico, Ephemera Festival, Roskilde, Click, Sydney Opera House, Berghain, Wide Awake Festival, Copenhagen Contemporary.

@ (pronounced “At”) is the folk-pop project of vocalist/guitarist Victoria Rose and multi-instrumentalist Stone Filipczak, who owe their musical bond to the power of text messages. Although the pair initially met years ago, it wasn’t until spring 2020 when they began sending each other music between their respective cities — Rose based in Philadelphia and Filipczak in Baltimore. A few exchanges down the line, Rose sent Filipczak an early recording of a song she’d written called “Star Game” asking him to contribute drums. She didn’t anticipate what he returned to her: “I didn’t like it at first. It felt jarring to hear my music so arranged,” she says. “I almost plotted to end the collaboration.” But it wasn’t long before she came around to the potential of what she and Filipczak could create together.
Astrobrite
Astrobrite is a noisePopgaze project from the musician Scott Cortez (Of STAR and lovesliescrushing fame). Astrobrite began in 1993 as a solo project and in 1995 the band expanded to a trio in order to perform live with such bands as blonde redhead, bowery electric, medicine and spiritualized. Astrobrite took a break from performing in 1997 but continued to write and release music. In 2000 Astrobrite released CRUSH and broke the hiatus by playing at the seven winters shoegaze fest in japan. Astrobrite has since been performing consistently again with various incarnations and at present is; ryan davis, kelly coffey, and scott cortez.

MGNA Crrrta
MGNA Crrrta is an electro pop duo consisting of Farheen Khan and Ginger Scott. Inspired by early 2010s pop hits, MGNA Crrrta blends trashy girl pop with EDM & experimental electronic music. The girls have garnered a cult following through their unique sound and striking visual aesthetic. Fashion is integral to MGNA Crrrta. The girls love shiny dresses, fake hair, rhinestone heels, golden tattoos, pounds of jewelry, and glitter. In 2024 so far, the girls have toured with Ninajirachi as well as Cowgirl Clue while continuously dropping tracks that culminated in their April EP, "Island Paradise." The girls have captured the attention of industry veterans: Hedi Slimane invited them to DJ at Celine’s Homme Summer afterparty in Paris, Uffie remixed their song “Girl Party,” and Ke$ha made a special appearance during their Freakquencies DJ set at LeBain in NYC. MGNA Crrrta merch featuring the girls’ names, faces, and lyrics, sells out rapidly online. The girls have a lot in store for the rest of the year and are excited for new releases, fashion work & touring.
Urika's Bedroom
Guitar in hand, urika’s bedroom moved to Los Angeles in 2018 and began playing in various genre-fluid bands, leading to fruitful creative relationships and producing for like-minded artists such as untitled (halo) and Ded Hyatt. In fall of 2023, ub invited audiences into an intimate artistic space with “Junkie” – a “glowing, tender debut” (Gorilla vs. Bear) that “sliced through the digital realm with the essence of existence” (FLAUNT). Shortly after the release, urika played live for the first time supporting Youth Lagoon and will embark on a tour with Nourished by Time this summer.

Originally from West LA, Eera is a producer, DJ, and artist. Eera’s taste for pop-tinged melodies played on blissed out synthesizers is apparent in his solo instrumental work and beat production alike. Besides being a founding member of NYC’s Surf Gang, Eera has worked with artists like Bladee, Rich The Kid, Jay Critch, 03Greedo and Black Kray. Eera recently released his debut electronic project Can't Stop Wasting Time.
AVALON (dj)
Avalon Lurks creates haunting, '80s post-punk-inspired indie/house electronica as simply AVALON. She is also a visual artist who paints,and directs her own music videos. The Santa Ana, California native cites Depeche Mode, the Cure, and Björk as major influences, with output vividly echoing the house-y freestyle bounce of Dee-Lite through a gothic-wave lens that rivals EBM and electro sensibilities of artists like Miss Kitten. Lurks began uploading music to streaming sites as a teenager in 2014, beginning with the eerie synth instrumental "Plans Fall Through”, since building a dedicated following both mirrored online and through her live shows. In 2019 she co-produced the underground hit "Papi Chulo" with George Lewis Jr. ( A.K.A. Twin Shadow) and is currently busy writing and producing new music.

Olive Kimoto (dj)
Olive Kimoto is a Los Angeles born and raised DJ and musician. Her sets range from driving somatic rhythms and floating synths, to leftfield 90s sounds and lush soundscapes to melt into. She has shared bills with Jon Hopkins, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Nicola Cruz, Jenny Hval, The Field, and more across art museums, music festivals, and clubs.
Olive hosts the monthly NTS Radio show Liquid Mirror, as well as the weekly ROVR show Endless Spiral. She travels the world playing across other stations such as HÖR, Kiosk Radio and Seoul Community Radio, and is the founder of the Cocteau Twins dance night, Heaven or Los Angeles at Zebulon.
