P.H.F. (real name Joe Locke), hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau, New Zealand, has been making, writing, and producing music for over a decade. Over the years, he’s toured across the U.S. and New Zealand while building a world around his electronic bedroom sound that feels equally at home onstage and in cyberspace.

Constantly experimenting and collaborating with artists like Clairo and Rew, P.H.F. has spent years pushing at the edges of underground music, helping pioneer the “shitgaze” sound that emerged from the Bandcamp era. His music moves freely between hyper-pop, drum and bass, distorted guitars, and softer acoustic moments without ever settling into one lane. Rather than focusing on genre, his music is rooted in feeling—creating songs that can be chaotic, intimate, nostalgic, and comforting all at once.

For the first time ever, P.H.F. will perform his fan-favorite 2018 album I HATE MYSELF in full at the festival, joined by live band “unc chat” for a special performance of the record.
